  • Samsung's New Arrivals For Every Taste

    Good news for smart home theater enthusiasts: Samsung’s new line of TVs offers smart tech for everyone’s taste, from the smallest MicroLED TV with 4K resolution ever to the most gi-normous 8K resolution screen to fill your home theater.

    First up: smaller can be better. Samsung's 75-inch MicroLED TV is the smallest TV to offer 4K resolution - a practical fit for smaller spaces. The technology uses millions of miniscule LEDs to portray an image, while still providing excellent OLED picture quality. And it does even more than just give a great picture on a small screen: the MicroLED TV is modular – so each small screen can display its own image, or they can be combined to display one image on multiple TVs – giving you the ultimate control of your viewing experience. 

    But sometimes, bigger may be better. Of the 41 new models Samsung releases this year, eight are 80 inches or larger, included a 98-inch 8K television. The Samsung Q900 ZLED TV is one of the biggest 8K televisions announced yet. Yes, 8K resolution is real technology, available this year for your home theater. Last year, Samsung wowed audiences with “The Wall,” a 146-inch screen. This year, the company releases a new version that comes in at an unbelievable 219 inches.

    Most new Samsung models use advanced QLED technology, which uses quantum dots to offer premium brightness, color, and overall image quality. CNET has found that when paired with full-array local dimming backlights, Samsung’s QLED TVs are top of the line.

    Samsung is also upping the ante on its designer televisions. “The Window” which can come in various sizes according to specifications (tall and narrow, shorter and wider). They’re also offering updated versions of “The Frame” and “The Serif,” which imitate paintings hanging on the wall when the TV is off.

    And the technology keeps getting better. New “Ultra Viewing Angle” panel technology remedies the known weakness of the QLED screen to fade out when viewed from the side (as opposed to watching from the middle). And full-array local dimming improves the LCD image quality in a larger number of models.
