  • Architectural Sound in a Whole New Dimension

Audio pioneer Sonos has partnered with architectural audio innovator Sonance to create a new line of in-wall, in-ceiling, and outdoor speakers that will blow you away.

The result? Sonos Architectural by Sonance. Incredibly complex sound, easily controlled with a simple platform.

The unbelievable sound quality and the innovative design are not surprising, considering the two partners. Sonos, the inventor of multi-room wireless home audio, is a global leader in premium sound experience, committed to simplicity of use and high quality home design aesthetics. Sonance created the architectural audio concept in the 1980s, which delivers outstanding audio with minimal visual intrusion. Their award-winning architectural speakers and outdoor audio offerings are recognized throughout the world.

The speakers – designed for a unique Sonos amplifier – offer a sound experience that engulfs the listener while the physical speaker disappears into the space. The in-ceiling and in-wall speakers’ one-of-a-kind hardware, when paired with the Sonos amp, unlocks Trueplay™ which takes into account the size, construction, and even the furniture of the room, automatically adjusting the EQ for optimal sound. The outdoor speaker – a first for Sonos – uses a weatherproof design that will stand up to environmental conditions we see all the time in Jackson Hole. We can now listen to outstand audio all year long, inside or outside our homes.

"We’re excited to be partnering with Sonos to bring the first architectural speakers with Trueplay to market,” said Sonance CEO Ari Supran, in an official statement. “Sonos represents the pinnacle in distributed audio user experiences and we are thrilled to help extend that experience to installations where hiding technology into architecture is desired.”

When connected to the Sonos amp, the speakers are easily controlled with a streamlined app that works with all streaming services, AirPlay 2 control, receives regular software updates, and has the ability for additional Sonos speakers and components as you expand your system over time. Three pairs of Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers can be powered by a single Sonos amp. The speakers also feature dynamic bass processing to enhance lower frequencies, resulting in a richer listening experience.

The speakers’ design aesthetic is incredible. The in-ceiling speakers are best for spacious, ambient listening, featuring specially designed round or square grilles which can be painted to match the ceiling. The in-wall speakers are ideal for a home theater, allowing for targeted, immersive sound. They also offer uniquely designed grilles that can be painted to match the wall. And the outdoor speakers can stand up to ranges in humidity, water, heat, UV rays, and freezing temperatures.
