Home Cinema is About to Get Even Better
We love it when our best technology providers give us even more options to bring our clients the best possible audio/video experiences in their own homes.
One of our favorite A/V providers, the Belgian technology company Barco, announced some great news this week. Until now, Barco Residential has been focused on high-quality visual technology used in professional and high-end home cinemas. They make some of the best projectors available today. Everything they do is custom, from lenses and optics to processors. Our clients who use Barco in their home cinemas constantly tell us they can’t believe the quality possible in their own homes.
This week, they announced strides to offer audio technology as well. We can't wait to see what they do.
The news came when Barco announced an agreement to acquire the French-British company VerVent Audio Holding, which owns Focal and Naim, producers of high-end audio systems. We’re super excited for this development because it means Barco will now serve both high-end cinema and sound opportunities. Leading technology like the Focal Diva Utopia Active Loudspeakers and the critically-lauded Focal 1000 Utopia IWLCR & IWSUB Speaker System for elite private home cinemas.
These top-of-the-line entertainment possibilities will be available to our clients in the privacy of their own homes.
In the meantime, Barco’s Architectural Digital Canvases create the best immersive entertainment experiences possible. The Nerthus projector and Nerthus Architectural Edition projector, released just last year, offer unbelievable depth and range. The projector’s 32,000 ANSI lumens of brightness and its Integrated Cinema Media Processor mean full DCI compatibility and playback of 4K HDR content. The result is outstanding all around. Barco’s Heimdall+ CS projector, with a brightness of 6,000 lumens, runs at only 29dB — which our clients love because it’s a super quiet, super strong projector for private home cinemas.
