The Brain Behind Our Best Theaters

When people plan a theater, they ask about the projector and the screen first. Fair enough, that's what you see. But the piece that decides what you hear is a box most guests never notice in the rack: the processor. In our most demanding theaters, that box is a Trinnov.

Every room changes the sound. Walls, ceilings, seats, even the carpet bend sound before it reaches your ears. The same speakers can sound brilliant in one room and muddy in the next. A Trinnov measures the room the speakers are actually in and corrects for it, so the system sounds the way the speaker designers intended, not the way the drywall decided.

Great bass in every seat, not just one. Bass is the hardest thing to get right in any room. Usually there's one sweet seat, and the rest of the row gets boom or nothing. Trinnov's WaveForming works with multiple subwoofers to make the bass even across the room, so the person on the end hears the same movie as the person in the middle.

Every format, done right. Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, Auro-3D, IMAX Enhanced. Modern soundtracks put sound above and around you, and the processor is what sends each sound to the right speaker at the right moment.

It plays well with the rest of the house. Trinnov works with both Savant and Control4, so the theater runs from the same remote, keypad, or app as everything else in your home. Press one button and the lights dim, the screen comes alive, and the sound is ready.

Recognized by the industry. Trinnov's Altitude32 was inducted into the CEDIA Product Hall of Fame in 2023. That's our industry's own trade association saying this one changed the game.

What it looks like in a Jackson Hole home. In the theater pictured here, a Trinnov Altitude 16 sits in the rack with a madVR Envy video processor, a Kaleidescape movie server, and Theory Audio Design amplification. The client doesn't think about any of that. They pick a movie, and the room does the rest.

The room still comes first. A great processor can't rescue a poorly designed room. That's why we start every theater at the drawing stage, working with our acoustical design partners on room shape, isolation, and treatment, and then let the Trinnov fine-tune what's left.
